K-Pak by Joico is awesome! It's not cheap but it is great stuff (smells wonderful, too!). You can get it at your local salon or beauty supply. I used to wash my hair, put it on then put a plastic shower cap on while I shaved and showered for a deep conditioning. My hair, which was blonde at the time, felt like silk.

as i hairdresser, i advise you to stay away from "wal-mart" salon items, if you are trying to repair your hair. the problem with them is that they are full of wax. which acually dries your hair out more. get a mosturizing condition. (i LOVE k-pax and redkin extreme) on damp hair cover completely and use a plastic cap. you can also wrap a towel over your head, this creates heat much like a deep condtioning in a salon. always rinse your hair in cool water, this closes your cuticles in your hair locking in the mosture.. hope this helps!
