After you take a shower how do you get your hair to dry straight?

after i take a shower my hair always drys wavy and i hate it how can i make it dry straight

After you take a shower how do you get your hair to dry straight?

i use straightening balm and put a hat on if i shower early enough. that way my hair drys straight and not poofy. i usually might have to run a flat iron over the ends, but usually it takes me about 5 mintues. good luck!

After you take a shower how do you get your hair to dry straight?

blow dry it while running a brush through it. or invest in a wet2dry straightening iron.

After you take a shower how do you get your hair to dry straight?

I always use the attachment that came with my hair dryer, the controls where the air goes, with that attachment and a brush, you should be able to dry it straight.

if you do not want to use a dryer try using a product called Osmo Essence, if you put it in your hair when it is wet, it will make it straight. It is a little expensive, but can probably be found online.

After you take a shower how do you get your hair to dry straight?

flat paddle brush and blow dryer, flip your head and dry but spray it with a straightening spray that is what works best for me or use a straightner cricket is one of the best brands

After you take a shower how do you get your hair to dry straight?

odnt know dont have that problem

After you take a shower how do you get your hair to dry straight?

flip your hair over and put the dryer on the under your hair and use a brush on the top. brush a section of your hair as you dry it, the bristles of the brush should touch the dryer... hmm not sure if that made sense, but i hope it did.

After you take a shower how do you get your hair to dry straight?

blow dry it! i dunno why, but my hair also turns wavy when i let it air dry

After you take a shower how do you get your hair to dry straight?

blow drying it I suppose with a paddle brush or a round one

After you take a shower how do you get your hair to dry straight?

Blow Dry it :)

Or, after its dry you can use a flat-iron.

After you take a shower how do you get your hair to dry straight?

a wet 2 dry straightner works good

After you take a shower how do you get your hair to dry straight?

Get a paddle brush and a blow dryer. It's kinda like using a straightner. When your hair is damp get the paddle brush and brush from the inside while drying on the outside. Usally my friend helps me. :)

Wot shud i do 4 hair fall , dry hair n split ends?

Here is a home remedy regimen for dry hair:

Use mayonnaise: Use a dollop of mayonnaise on the palm of the hand and massage it to the head and leave it on for five minutes before having the bath. The recommended time for the mayonnaise treatment is an hour.

Spray the beer: If you do not get any relief from using the mayonnaise, you can use beer as a good setting lotion that gives your hair the crisp, healthy and shiny look. You can pour some beer into an empty pump bottle and spray on the hair after shampooing and towel dry. Then you can style or blow-dry the hair.

Shampoo minimally: choose a shampoo for dry, damaged hair.

Condition your hair: Conditioner glues cuticles back to the shaft and lubricates them. It also prevents static electricity, thus preventing its frizzy appearance.

Cut off the split ends: Every six weeks or so

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

Isnt this taking stating the obvious a little too far?

Note.. I will be giving 10 points for the best answer unless my pc breaks down and I cant get back on here. If I win a holiday abroad then perhaps I may not award best answer either and of course, if I meet with an unfortunate accident you may also miss out. Otherwise...10 points best answer!!!

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

looool!

i hope u do win a holiday so u don't need to give a best answer! just take me with u!

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

Its like flour packets saying "Fat free!"

Duh, its always been fat free.

But people fall for that and think they're gaining something special.

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

they just want to catch peoples attention

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

They only want to attract more attention to their questions?

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

i know its lame

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

they want to flaunt their extensive knowledge of YAnswers?

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

hahahhah. so true.

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

Because it attracts more people to answer.

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

I think it it because they want people to answer there question, to be honest I dont answer those questions.

They prob just childish people

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

They probably do it because they want someone to answer their question. I have a tendency of doing it for that reason. LOL i don't know why..

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

idk?

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

well this question got my attention for the same reason, but yes i know what you mean, just another way of selling your question

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

Who Care's, I've got my 2 points for this. Thanks.

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

They either want attention or want people to answer their question. They might be desperate so they want an answer really quick.

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

Suddenly? It's been happening for a long time. But a lot of people do not choose the best answer. OK so it's decided by voting but there are some people with multiple accounts who will vote for themselves as best answer even when it is something like: "Sorry, I don't know." "10 points for best answer" suggests that the questioner is going to make the effort to choose the best answer himself, which might make more people likely to answer.

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

Yes, it DOES get on my useless male mammary glands whenever people say that rubbish - half the time those that say it don't even bother to pick a best answer anyway ! ! !

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

well...they enjoy having others attention...thats it. i don't see any other reason...!!!

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

Desperate, I'm more apt to answer if they award 11 points for best answer....after all if it's best shouldn't at least the asker give it a thumbs up?

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

They are all attempting to cut out the middle man. Everybody is trying to out dooo Yahoo

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

I agree with you*

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

Yeah I wondered that myself, and on top of everything they don't even bother to resolve their questions, just leave 'em up to expire and then the people themselves have to vote for their own answers and it's unknown if they'll finally get their so promised 10 points. Really p****s me off.

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

you get 10 points for best answer ,well thats the idea anyway.

i've seen 10 points for really crap answers.

this aint the best answer so i'll just settle for the 2 points.

thanks

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

prehapes some people have just discovered they can give best answer hun x

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

They want as many answerers as possible, a big popularity thing me thinks!! SAD!

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

Sheer stupidity - simple as!

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

hahaha

that is SOO truee.

i always thought that as well.

its kinda dumb.

lol

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

LOL Well said Susie. I think Y!A takes a dim view of this as points manipulation anyway :-)

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

It's a sales pitch.

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

You are totally correct.

Why are people suddenly announcing '10 points for best answer' on their questions?

I started asking a question like this, saw how many times it had already been asked, and decided to read first... I'm half tempted to go to EVERY one of those questions and comment on their blinding stupidity....

10 points!!!! ....? :P

I have thin and dry hair ,how can i turn them into a black and shiny ones?

Usually when I dye my hair a darker color it will make it softer and shinier. Just make sure to pick a dye with no ammonia and plenty of conditioners. Use a deep conditioner ( I like Garnier Fructise 3-min deep conditioner). You can also buy spray-shine enhancing products to make it shinier, just make sure not to put too much or your hair will look greasy,.

Dry hair question?

how often are you supossed to use shampoo and conditioner?

and what are good products?

Dry hair question?

Every other day. Use shampoo %26amp; conditioner every time, unless it is a penetrating conditioner, (it would say how often to use it on the bottle.)

Good products, always professional products like Nexxus, Paul Mitchell etc.

Always get ones that are for dry hair, with moisture in it. Use an intense conditioner once or twice a week, that should help.

Dry hair question?

Like every other day. And I love the new Herbal Essences line and also Garnier Fruitice

Dry hair question?

That depends on what hair type you have. Here's a good guideline.

Oily= every day

Normal= five times a week

Dry= wash it twice a week but condition every time you shower

Suave shampoo and conditioner are good unless your hair tangles easily, then I would recommend Herbal Essence conditioner with Suave shampoo.

Dry hair question?

Every other day is fine. I use pantene pro-v shampoo and conditioner. A hot oil treatment once a week helps also. Or if you don't like the oil thing, pantene (as well as other companies like St. Ives) makes a deep conditioning treatment that can be used once a week.

hope that helps.

Mari

Dry hair question?

You can purchase K-Pak products at your local salon. They have a shampoo, conditioner and leave in products. I am 54 and my hair is long and is not frizzy, in fact it's never looked better.

Good Luck to You

Dry hair question?

I was told that it is unhealthy to wash your hair everyday, but every other day is fine. Also, all natural products are great for your hair and don't bring it down. Aveda has great natural hair products.

Dry hair question?

If your are close to Trade Secret were they sale Beauty Products You do not need to be hair stylist to purchase beauty products there... Get one of those Deep Conditioning Treatment... I recommend Joico, Biolage, LINE. This is what i use to my clients when they have dry hair and they just love the results. And i use it myself so. Hope this help...

NOte: do not buy Herbal Essence line it will not do anything on your hair it might strip your hair... Look at the back and see the ingredient you will see there is a Petroleum in it... You wouln't want to have shampoo or conditioner that has petroleum would you?

Dry hair question?

well, i wash my hair everyday, because it gets very greasy quick. but i also have dry hair usually. i use hair masks alot, and i've been told and i've used Hot-Oil treatments. they're the best! really easy to use, and you can get them at a hairdresser or rite aid or wallgreens!

I need a homeade hair- mask recipie, for dry hair?

i have alot of recipes

1. One ripe banana and 2 teaspoon of honey, keep it in for 10 minutes with a shower cap on because it will give it plenty of heat. and rinse.

2. To make a hot-oil treatment for dry hair, place 1/4 cup of canola or soybean oil in a glass measuring cup. Place the cup in a bowl of hot water, and allow the oil to warm. Any vegetable oil will work, but canola oil is a good choice because it contains no added ingredients. Use hands to spread the warn oil through wet hair, leave it in for two minutes tops. Wash hair thoroughly with shampoo. You'll have softer, shinier hair!

3) Massage mashed avocado into freshly shampooed hair and leave on for 15 minutes before rinsing.

4) Massage mashed peaches -- no pits of course, into wet hair for 15 minutes before rinsing.

5) 1 teaspoon baby oil

1 egg yolk

1 cup water

Beat the egg yolk until its frothy, add the oil then beat again. Add to the water. Massage into the scalp and throughout your hair. Rinse well.

6) o give your hair a great shine and help remove soap build up.

Blondes 閳?Add a couple of tablespoons of lemon juice to your rinse water.

Brunettes and Redheads 閳?Add a couple of tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to your rinse water.

Stir 1 teaspoon honey into 4 cups (1 quart) warm water. After shampooing, pour mixture through hair. Do not rinse out. Dry as normal.

7) lend 1/2 a banana, 1/4 cantaloupe, 1/4 avocado, 1 tablespoon wheat germ oil and 1 tablespoon yogurt. For extra conditioning, squeeze in the contents of a vitamin E capsule. Leave in hair for 15 minutes.

8) Mix 1/2 cup honey and 3 tablespoons olive oil. Work a small amount at a time through hair until coated. Cover hair with a shower cap; leave on 30 minutes. Shampoo well and rinse.

HOPED I HELPED

I need a homeade hair- mask recipie, for dry hair?

I suggest you mix an egg(the whole thing), some type of oil like olive oil (not mineral oil) some conditioner with protein (some come in a ready made pack) and comb it through your hair and leave in for 30-45 minutes, then heat up a little oil (not too high or too much) and put it on your hair and blow dry. GOOD, LUCK! HOPE THIS HELPS ^_^

I need a homeade hair- mask recipie, for dry hair?

Beat an egg in a cup of milk. When it foams, rub it into the scalp.Leave it on for 5 minutes. Rinse the hair thoroughly with water.Carry out this routine twice a week for excellent results for dry damaged hair. Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Dry hair. Any recommendations?

I have a similar problem, I also get dandruff on top of it. I have started using the hair-oil as much time as possible in my hair. Especially nights, on travelling when lot of wind in my hair is expected (car drive with window down), weekends (without dates!) etc. Shampoo the hair using pH neutral shampoo/conditioner - this will help you retain your hair even if you wash them everyday.

Additionally, avoid coloring, styling, ironing hair as much as possible.

It has worked pretty well for me :-) all the best.

Dry hair. Any recommendations?

I've been told to only wash my roots and when I rinse the shampoo out it will pull any grime thats in the rest of my hair out. And of course use conditioner. Dry Paul Mitchell's Gloss Drops. They work great on dry hair.

Dry hair. Any recommendations?

i don't know what kinds of recommendations you want, but i use either aussie spray-in, leave-in conditioner or the new dove spray-in, leave-in conditioners...they work great

Dry hair. Any recommendations?

Try a leave in treatment or VO5's Hot oil treatment.

Dry hair. Any recommendations?

Hair is made of protein. A diet rich in protein can avoid most of the hair problems. Proper hair care can give you fabulous, shining, thick, beautiful, gorgeous, and dandruff free hair. Oiling hair regularly will prevent various hair problems. Home-made beauty recipes like face-packs, facial masks, scrubs, hair care, dandruff care and bodywraps based on herbs and natural ingredients help improve the skin disorders and detoxify. They help in providing natural oil and moisture to the skin.

9. Frizzy Hair

Make an after-shampoo rinse by mixing one tablepsoon of honey to a liter of water. Use it after every hair wash with your usual shampoo.

Dry hair. Any recommendations?

Skip the cheap pantene and herbal essence, they coat your hair with wax, use something that your stylist would recommend... like TIGI Moisture Maniac... Professional Hair Products are more condensed, so you can use less shampoo/conditioner every time and then it will cost about the same in the long run. Cheap stuff just makes your hair look cheap.

Dry hair. Any recommendations?

use Aussie three minute miracle. works like a charm.

Dry hair. Any recommendations?

try a deep conditioner once a week (bumble and bumble makes an awesome deep conditioner)

also, wash hair only every other day (hair isn't meant to be washed every day! it strips it of its oils) and only wash the roots (the part that creates the oils)

Dry hair. Any recommendations?

black folks shampoo its the shitt

Whats the best hair conditioner on the market for dry hair that doesnt leave it looking dull?

aveda and garnier fructise have the most hydrating to me :)

Whats the best hair conditioner on the market for dry hair that doesnt leave it looking dull?

I like the Biolage products, they are a little pricey but work really well.

Whats the best hair conditioner on the market for dry hair that doesnt leave it looking dull?

Well, it all depends on the type of hair you've got. But, since your question doesn't describe that, let's just assume you have average, no tricks, brown, vavy hair. Sounds neutral enough ok? Then I would strongly suggest Sebastian Potion 9. But if you have anything other than the average type hair, then it'd depend on what those differences are. It's not good for blond hair...unless you like strawberry hue in it.

Hope this helps.

Whats the best hair conditioner on the market for dry hair that doesnt leave it looking dull?

I use Shine Therapy "Repair Xtreme" after shampooing leave it in for a couple of minutes then wash it out. For a leave in treatment I use a bit of coconut oil and "Motions" "Hair and Scalp Daily Moisturizing Hairdressing". Hope this helps.

I am suffering from severe hair loss and dry hair.Any working solutions?

first of all hairloss happens for many reasons. I recommend you eat all of healthy foods and forget the junk food. Also keep your hair natural. Do not paint, curl, or iron your hair constantly. This causes many people to loose hair. Use a good shampoo and most importantly contitioner. If this dosent work you have to cut your hair kind of short at your shoulders at leat and wait for new healthy hair to grow out. I hope this helps.

I am a man with thick, dry hair, what do you think is the best hair style?

Hello there, I'm a hairdresser, I got this mate called Azz, his hair is exactly the same.. (its not you is it) lol.. What I always do with his hair is to grade 3 back and sides, grade in, short layer the top, and remove any excess bulk with thinning scissors... try using dax wax, it very like Vaseline type texture.. will tame your hair to stay in position..

Are the wet-to-dry hair straighteners extremely damaging???

I have a wet-2-dry straightener and it doesent damage my hair as long as i put some type of moisturizer in it.just don't use it every day cause it can cause split ends that way ;)

Are the wet-to-dry hair straighteners extremely damaging???

It does no damage, at all. I have one and love it. It saves time and your hair looks beautiful! Believe me.

Are the wet-to-dry hair straighteners extremely damaging???

They can be very damaging... I suggest CHI straighteners (although very expensive) but if you don't have that kind of money, make sure it's ceramic at least. There are also products you can use to keep your hair from becoming too damaged from daily straightening.

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

She should eat protein and gelatin so her hair will grow in strong. She can buy gelatin capsules if she doesn't want to eat a lot of Jello. She should also take a Vitamin E capsule daily and cook with canola oil, for shiny hair.

She should use a deep conditioner on her hair once a week. She can pick one up at a drug or beauty supply store. Also, she should avoid straightening, curling, or blow drying her hair. All of these can damage one's hair and make it drier.

She can also try using coconut oil on her hair once a week. She can just massage it into her scalp, and pull it through her hair. Leave it on overnight, and shampoo it out in the morning. Coconut oil adds moisture and shine, and helps repair damaged hair. You can find it in a natural/health food store or online at places like www.drugstore.com. She can use olive oil or shea butter as a treatment if she would prefer.

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

Wet it every morning

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

Sunsilk

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

Tell her to start using moisturizing shampoo, putting lotion in it, or applying olive oil to it. Also if she takes a shower every other day instead of every day. Washing hair cleans it but also washes out natural oils. If she uses a hair dryer, then she should stop! Drying hair with a hair dryer can severly damage delicate hair; that's what happened to my mom. She has very dry hair because she used a hair dryer for so long. All that heat is not good for hair.

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

use olive oil.

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

There are a couple of simple way to miosten up your moms hair you can use Mayonaise it will make your moms hair shinny or you can ask her to stop using lots of shampoo w/c her hair didnt react well to..lots of Aloe vera plants can be a better help as well

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

Does she use hair care products for dry hair? She should start out with a short hair cut and then treat her hair very well, before she washes it she should warm a spoon full of olive oil and massage that into her hair before washing with a good shampoo meant for dry hair, then a good conditioner for dry hair. She might also use a leave in type conditioner. stay out of sun, eat high quality foods rich in good oils, like salmon, avacados, and such.Take a vitamin E capsule every day.

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

Use a good conditioner and a leave in one too. If she uses hot styling tools use a protector on it.

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

Take a multi-vitamin supplement with biotin in it. There are special supplements for hair and nails and they really work. Give them a shot, take the entire course, probably about 6-8 weeks worth, and see what happens.

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

Eat well and make sure you get all the right vitamins. Links below might help. Good Luck :)

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

Use a professional spray-in, leave-in conditioner. You HAVE to keep the ends trimmed. You CAN'T OVERDRY your hair with the dryer, Or get TOO CLOSE TO YOUR HAIR with the dryer. Or stay out in the SUN. You JUST CAN'T do these things without a trim every once in a while!!!!!

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

She could go to the salon and get re constructor treatments, they are moisture and protein, or she could get her hair cut kinda short and just start over. Honestly, there is nothing that will correct damaged hair, once it's damaged, it's damaged, the only way to get rid of it is to cut it off.

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

I got a really bad perm, and my hair was extremely dry, and I hated it. What worked for me, was once a week, I would put a good conditioner in at night, leave it in until morning, and then rinse it out. Also, keep getting it cut. It takes a while, but she can do it. Biolage has a conditioner for dry-overstressed hair. Works good.

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

go to a hair doctor

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

Hot hair-oil massage and a good shampoo and conditioner

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

Try Neutrogena Deep Conditioning Hair mask, it works great.

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

Tell her to use Coconut oil.

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

Straight olive oil is really hard to wash out. She can try using a deep conditioner/oil on clean hair, then wear a shower cap to let the product penetrate. When she's done, just rinse the hair and apply a leave-in conditioner or serum.

Are her skin and/or nails dry too?

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.....try not to blow dry it so much air dry is good

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

avoid hair products that could dry up hair like using of chemicals (ie hair color, salon permanent curls, or straightening, hair blower, electric hair straightener or curler w/c can dry hair because of the direct heat) ,, apply coconut oil every day %26amp; wash it after several hours, %26amp; of course drink plenty of water

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

what i have found is, a good hair coloring and the condition you use wirh it put back natural oil and adds texture to your hair . when shampoo don,t over condition it. all that does is flatten your hair to your head. don't over brush your hair and don't comb it with a small tooth comb.

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

She should oil her hair atleast 1 hour before washing them and use a better conditioner and shampoo.............

My mom has very dry hair. What can she do?

wet it

I have thick, dry hair. What product will make it straight and fine, Herbal Essences or SunSilk?

If so, which of the different products should I use?

ex. Herbal Essences - Dangerously Straight

I have thick, dry hair. What product will make it straight and fine, Herbal Essences or SunSilk?

There is not a product on the market that will make thick hair fine...If you got a haircut to take some of the bulk off it would look finer, but as far as a shampoo there are none. To make it straight..Rusk makes a shampoo called STR8 it works excellent especially when you combine all the products together (styling and conditioner) After using them apply the styling product generously and blow dry, taking a large barrel curling iron (about 1 1/2'') section your hair and curl it, It will straighten the hair with a bend at the ends....Good Luck

I have thick, dry hair. What product will make it straight and fine, Herbal Essences or SunSilk?

I like Herbal Essences.

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

I use Pantene Frizz Control shampoo and conditioner. I think I may need a more moisturizing conditioner, any reccomendations?

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

I use a product call Hayashi 911 Emergency Pack. It is kind of expensive, but so well worth the cost. I add some of the 911 in a cup along with some olive oil. Then I apply it to wet hair (do this at night before bedtime). Then I will take a towel, get it wet, wring it out to where it is jut damp and put it in the microwave for about 3 minutes. You will have to experiment with your microwave at home because they are all different. Once the towel is steaming hot, I wrap it on my head and leave it on my head until it cools down. I do this about 3 or 4 times. Then, I sleep in the conditioner and olive oil. In the morning, just shampoo your hair as you normally would. Do this treatment about once a week.

Also, everyday, after you shampoo your hair and towel dry it, you may want to spray some Infusiom leave-in conditioner on your hair. That has really helped my hair too!!

One last thing that I have sworn by and I know other women have sworn by it too. Take pre-natal vitamins. It will not only help the appearance of your hair, it will also speed it the growth process.

Good luck!

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

Paul Brown makes AWESOME shampoo and conditioner. I buy it at my salon - it is more expensive, but worth it. Good luck!

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

Mix half olive oil and half honey, warm it up in the microwave (NOT HOT!) And massage it in your hair until your hair is saturated with the mixture. Wrap your head up in a towel or something and leave it on for as long as you feel like it. I usually leave it on for like an hour.

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

Olive oil once or twice a week for a half hour then rinse. ALSO I LOVE LOVE LOVE Bed Heads "After Party", I use it in the morning and at night. It smells great and it is not oily at all!

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

An "over the counter" shampoo and cond. will only coat the hair w/ wax. temp. making it feel better but not healing at all. Try professional products like Biolage, or Halo.

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

Your hair is probably damaged by heat, from a flat iron, or curling iron or something. You should continue using the same shampoo you are using... but when you put in the conditioner, leave it in for about 5 minutes. Then when you rinse it out, it will feel softer. Try a deep conditioner... Also, If you have the money, a professional shampoo and conditioner with moisture added would help... such as Paul Mitchell... They are very good.

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

first off do not buy regular shampoo. Switch to natural hair shampoos such as organic. You can find them in most stores.

Secondly, you need to eat more oil in your diet. Try taking flaxseed oil or incorporate coconut oil into your diet.

Speaking of oils, you should oil your hair weekly with olive or coconut oil.

Do not blow dry, straighten, etc your hair

and lastly, try to minimize your sugar intake.

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

do a mayonaise treatment take 1/2 -3/4 cups of mayo rub through your hair take a wet hot towel and wrap it around your head wait 30 minutes then wash your hair with a mild shampoo. good luck it works

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

here are some ideas

here are some home remedies which are very good for dry hair. i had dry hair myself but when i tried these tips it was great! they've never been dry again!

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Beat up on an Egg: Separate the white of an egg from the yolk, and whip the white thoroughly. Then add 1 tablespoon of water to the yolk and blend until the mixture is creamy. Next, mix the white and yolk together. Wet your hair with warm water, remove the excess moisture, and apply the egg mixture to your scalp with your fingertips. Massage gently until the froth is worked into your scalp, and then rinse the hair with cool water. Keep applying the mixture until it is used up. Continue to rinse until all of the egg is washed away

Go for the Mayo: Heat up one half cup of mayonnaise until it becomes an oily, white goo and apply to dry, unwashed hair. Cover your hair with a plastic bag and leave on for at least 15 minutes. Then, rinse and shampoo thoroughly.

Mix up a Tropical Treat: Mash one over-ripe banana (the blacker, the better) with a mushy, rotten avocado. Massage this exotic puree into your hair and leave on for at least 15 minutes before washing out鈥n the kitchen sink!).

Grab a Cold One. Beer can give your dry hair a healthy sheen. Before you blow-dry or style, use a pump bottle to spray brew onto your hair. The beer will leave your hair shiny and sleek and its odor will disappear quickly.

In addition to using these home remedies regularly to avoid dry hair, try the following preventative measures:

Avoid overshampooing. Shampooing can wash away the hair's protective oils, so try washing less often and use a mild shampoo labeled "for dry or damaged hair."

Condition regularly. Conditioners protect the hair鈥檚 cuticle layer from splitting from the shaft. Pick a conditioner that works well for your hair and use it after every shampoo.

Wear a hat. Too much exposure to wind and sun can leave hair thirsty.

Trim off split ends. The biggest problem caused by dry hair is split ends. Schedule a trim every six to eight weeks to keep fraying ends under control.

Ease up on the heat. Heat (in the form of blow dryers, as well as straightening and curling irons) can quickly dry out hair. Let your hair air dry occasionally. Try using plastic cylinder rollers to straighten hair by wrapping slightly moist hair under and around rollers for about 10 minutes. For curling, try using sponge rollers overnight or sleeping with moist braids.

Don't swim without a cap. Use a rubber cap to protect your hair from the damaging effects of chlorine. If you must forgo a cap, rub a spoonful of olive oil into your hair before diving in.

also heres a very good website which could help you out with all hair problems!

http://www.pioneerthinking.com/hair.html

Good luck!!:)

Another thing is also putting in lotion in your hair after you have gotten out of the shower and you can also put in lotion in hair after you have dried it.

Just rub some lotion on your finger tips and run it through your hair evenly.

Also, something that will help your hair is to take COLDshowers. What most people dont know is that if you take hot showers, the heat gets rid of the oils and other things that your hair needs to be kept healty and shiney.

Hope this helps!

If this doesnt help just contact me and i can give you more tips for your dry hair!

Smash an avocado and mix with jojoba and peppermint oils. Make sure its really smooth you may want to put it in a food processor with a little water. Then apply some to your scalp and the rest on your hair. Massage for a minute or so then put on a plastic cap. Leave for 15 to 30 minutes. The avocado and jojoba oils will moisterize and the peppermint will stimulate your scalp to loosen any dead skin and open your pores. It will feel great. Your hair will grow better and won't be dry. :)

Neutrogena has a line called Triple Moisture. This is what I found at their website:

Neutrogena Triple Moisture庐 Cream Lather Shampoo gently dissolves away impurities as it deeply moisturizes every hair strand.

This revolutionary cream hair cleanser revives even extra dry or over-processed hair, making it feel soft and smooth all day after a single use. Three naturally derived extracts penetrate to defy dryness on all three dimensions of the hair strand. Olive penetrates to the center, Meadowfoam Seed helps moisturize the middle and Sweet Almond wraps the surface. Its rich, abundant lather cleanses hair gently, taming fly-aways and frizz.

Neutrogena Triple Moisture庐 provides specialized care for extra dry hair.

I've tried a sample of it, and it works great. It left my hair feeling very soft and smooth.

Does using "Dove" conditioner on dry hair ruin your hair?

I've also heard that it can also be used kinda like gel, is this true?

Does using "Dove" conditioner on dry hair ruin your hair?

If you put too much products in your hair it will dry your hair out. Conditioning is okay especially on dry hair but don't do it every single day same with shampoo. For dry hair try leaving your hair for 2 or 3 days without washing. Also, when you do not condition the roots of your hair. The bottom half is all you need to do unless you're into major greasiness. The first time, condition normally. The second time use a (store-bought) deep conditioner mixed with your regular conditioner and leave it in for a while. The last time you condition rinse it out with cool water This will really help seal in the moisture and add shine. Rinse as thoroughly as you can! Accumulated conditioner makes your hair feel dull, heavy and greasy, guaranteed. Add natural oils like avocado, coconut, or olive oil to your hair. This can be a great conditioning regime to do prior to shampooing the hair. Also mayonaisse for 30. min before showering works.

Does using "Dove" conditioner on dry hair ruin your hair?

No i've heard about women using conditioner on dry hair as a leave-in and it's perfectly fine. Just don't put on too much. I dont think it can be used as a gel..just something to give your hair some moisture and make it easier to comb through.

Mayonnaise - it has eggs and oil in it to moisturize and shine. Put it on your hair with a plastic grocery bag over it and do some house work for about a half hour. The heat that your head produces by doing the housework will help draw the oils into your hair. Then wash it out...it should feel really soft after.

I Have A very Dry hair, what are the alternative way i can use to let it shine again?

I would use a good conditioner with a low ph to close the cuticle. this enables the cuticle to smooth out, which makes it shinier. Some good ones are Keracare, Kenra, and Bed Head/Tigi Dumb Blonde. Also Redken makes Blondglam, which has a low ph and would do the job....Hope this helps...

You need to condition your hair after shampooing and then applying a straightening serum so you don't burn or damage your hair when using a straightening iron or blow dryer.

Try not to color, perm, use too much mousse/gel etc on ur hair.Best u get a good rich mask %26amp; conditioner.Use the hair mask 1-2x a week.I use L'occitane's Olive Hair Mask,it works wonders.U leave it on for bout 20mins after shampoo, then rinse it off. Also try to let it air-dry instead of hair dryers,if u must dry, make sure d dryer is not too close to ur hair, and not too hot.Pantene offers a good leave on conditioner ( in a green bottle ) that u can apply on the ends.It makes ur hair tangle free.Trim ur ends often to keep those end away.Hope it helps %26amp; Good luck! :)

How do you get rid of dry hair. my hair is really wavy and everytime i straighten it i end up with split ends?

Straightening your hair is what is causing all the damage! Try using shampoo that helps straighten your hair. If that doesn't work use some hot oil treatment every month and use some Garnier length and strength before using the straightener. Also try using some Biolague.

Any ideas for dry hair?

Nexxus Humectress is outstanding. First of all, although it is pricey, Jonathan shampoo uses no alcohol, or any other shampoo of that type. After you shampoo, comb your hair out and use the Humectress, a little goes a long way. Do not rinse the Humectress out. If your job requires you to wear your hair up, do not dry the lower half, massage the Humectress in and twist hair up with a clip. This is the only product I use when letting my hair grow out to ensure I would not have split ends during the process. I had 2 roomates also (one African-American and the other was Cuban decent) They started using it also and were amazed at the difference it makes. 2O yrs later it is still the best product on the market as far as I am concerned.

I really have a dry hair? any help?

Use a moisturizing shampoo condtioner and leave in creme. I reccomened Neutrogena Triple Moisture, shampoo conditioner and deep recovery hair mask

http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a...

Neutrogena.com

Brush your hair before shampooing and conditioner so your hair won't be tangeled.

Don't wash your hair everyday try 3 times a week

Avoid combing hair while wet, use a wide tooth comb.

Deep condition twice a week

Trim your hair tips every 4-6 weeks.

While shampooing massage your scalp with your fingertips slowly, it's not necessary to shampoo the ends, then rinse with warm water.

When using a conditioner leave on for about 1-3 minutes so you can get great results then comb hair with wide tooth comb then rinse with very cold water to have shiny hair

If you use gel/hairspray/moose stop using them. They damage and dry up your hair.

If you use heat appliaces (blowdryers, curling irons, hair straightener) use a heat protecter spray so it'll protect your hair from heat.

If your in the sun alot buy a cap or a hoodie to protect your hair from the sun, heat damages and drys out your hair.

Buy a leave-in-conditioner/leave-in conditioner/creme to moisturize your hair all day long and don't rinse.

After your out of the shower set your blowdryer on cool setting and blowdryer your hair for 2 minutes, this will help seal the hair cuticles for a smooth shiny surface.

If you dye your hair do it atleast once a year, hair dye has terrible chemicals that kill your hair.

Tigi. Chocolate head/

I really have a dry hair? any help?

okay, hopefully this sounds a little simpler and is easier to follow than the first person who answered!

i learned all of this in beauty school... so you can believe it's worked wonders! even on me.

basically you have 2 options when washing your hair:

1.wash/condition every other day...

2. wash one day, condition the next...

both are fine as long as you aren't doing both EVERY day...

BUT- when you condition, ring out your hair, put the conditioner on the ends of your hair and work your way up the strands, then LEAVE IN for about five minutes... and since many of us do not have little timers in our showers, what i do is wash my hair first, then condition, then i go straight to shaving/ bathing/ etc... and by the time i'm done with all the wonderful bodily things we do in the shower, it's usually been five minutes or longer (the longer, the better)... so it's safe to rinse.

drying is fine, and wont damage your hair to the point of drying it back out... and straightening is fine, as well.

another thing you can do... but i would only do it maybe once every couple months... is the mayonaise wash. it sounds INCREDIBLY disgusting, but can be pretty unexpectedly miraculous... just put mayo in your hair, and put your hair in a plastic hair cap, then leave in for about an hour. then, obviously, wash the crap out of it...

that's something to do on a rainy day though...or a lazy weekend, you know?

hope i helped!

good luck. :D

I really have a dry hair? any help?

TreSemme Deep Quench Conditioning Treatment

I know a lot of people that have had great results with this.

I really have a dry hair? any help?

Find a conditioning shampoo and conditioner. I like the pantene line for women of color, it's in the copper bottles. It doesn't matter what race or ethnicity you are, if you have dry hair, you'll find the shampoo is incredibly moisturizing on it's own. Add the conditioner and you're in business. You may want to read the reviews of different shampoos and conditioners at http://www.makeupalley.com, because unfortunately, just because the bottle says it's for dry doesn't mean it actually works.

You can also try hot oil treatments. You can use olive oil, safflower oil, almond oil, or jojoba oil.

You may also want to try the silicone serums out on the market. I've found they make dry coarse hair soft and shiny. The key is to use a small amount, because overdoing it will make your hair heavy and greasy.

One last option, switch to satin/polyester pillowcases or wear a satin/polyester scarf to bed. Cotton absorbs the oils from your hair and can contribute to drying it out.

I really have a dry hair? any help?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed %26amp; remove all frizz I promise.

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

Advice on my curly ,dry hair ,how to make it shiny and manageable?

go for hair rebond!!!! itz da best!! :)

Advice on my curly ,dry hair ,how to make it shiny and manageable?

condition everyday (shower and leave-in)

wash your hair every other or every two days(better)

deep condition every month

try using pantene smooth start smoothing comb-in treatment it works great for my hair and its lightweight

Advice on my curly ,dry hair ,how to make it shiny and manageable?

Do oil massage regularly, (weekly) use Castor oil+Alma oil+coconut oil(herbal oil) for massage. use hair pack after massage.then wash your hair with water then after a day use shampoo (mild shampoo) after washing the hair use deep conditioner. concentrate on your diet have high proteins in meal.

Advice on my curly ,dry hair ,how to make it shiny and manageable?

Here is the regimen that I use when my hair gets extremely dry in winter and summer:

Once or twice a week:

Massage a dollop of mayonnaise into your hair and leave it on for one hour OR comb olive oil through your hair with a wide tooth comb and leave on all night (shampooing it out in the morning).

Shampoo (choose a shampoo for dry, damaged hair. I use Pantene Pro-V.)

Condition your hair and leave conditioner on for 5 minutes (after I put conditioner on, I pull my hair back with a scrunchie while I wash the rest of my body閳ヮ洑his takes 5 minutes or longer. I also use Pantene Pro-V conditioner).

Towel dry (do not blow dry unless you HAVE to, it will make dry hair even dryer!). Apply a dab of VO5 Conditioning Hairdressing from about the middle of your hair to the tips. Do not apply it to the roots or your hair will look greasy. (It comes in a tube. The box it is packaged in is gold colored).

Style as usual.

For the rest of the week:

Use the VO5 just on the VERY ENDS of your hair閳?every morning before styling.

Dry dry hair?

no money for fancy treatments. what have YOU used? YOU - not wikipedia!! :-)

thanks

Dry dry hair?

Neutrogena triple moisture its this orange tube my advice BUY THE WHOLE LINE!!!

Put also some hot oil therapy in it always helps =)

And invest in good shampoo and conditioners that is the base for not so dry hair. =)

Dry dry hair?

Try Neutrogena's mask, that may help. Or Herbal Essenses "hello hydration". Leave on these items for at least ten minutes

Dry dry hair?

Slap some mayo(not Miracle Whip) on with a cap. For more volume, use flat beer (eww), for more shine and product removal, use a vinegar and water rinse. You could use egg whites too but don't rinse with warm water or you'll have a head full of breakfast. When my hair is ULTRA dry, I buy a packet of conditioner called Hayashi 911 from the beauty supply. It's about $4 for the pkt. and I get 3 conditionings out of it. Just did it last week, my hair is silky soft. That stuff is a miracle cure. I also know that Nexus has a conditioner called Humectress that many hairdressers swear by as Nexus only good product. Not expensive either.

Dry dry hair?

I read somewhere to use vegitable oil and I tried it but it just made my hair REALLY greasy. So definatly dont use that. But if you go to a hair salon there should be treatments there for under $10. You could also try not washing it everyday and not using heat on your hair (blow dryers, flat irons, ect.)

Dry dry hair?

Usually hair that is really dry/dry has the basis in a medical condition or medication. E.g., thyroid disorder, diabetes, etc.

Course hair in which the cuticles stand-up appears dry.

But, an excellent treatment for both is: warm mayonnaise in a pan, and after it liquifies, put it on your hair and wrap it in plastic. Keep it on for as long as you like (15-20 minutes) and wash it out. It will leave your hair soft.

If you can find someone to help you -- use a flat-iron on the hair while the solution is on it. Then wash out.

Dry dry hair?

Neutragena's Triple Moisture shampoo, conditioner and deep recovery hair mask. Use the mask at least three times a week, leaving it on for more than 5 minutes while in the shower instead of the conditioner. Use the conditioner on all the other times you aren't using the mask. It has really helped my dry hair (it's curly, so I can't brush it to get the natural oils down the shaft). Good luck!

I have really dry hair i want to make it look better and if possible straighter naturally?

I have dry hair also... what I do is use olive oil(extra extra virgin) I heat it and then apply it to the dry areas avoiding the scalp..I leave it on for about 10 min and then shampoo and condition... I do this maybe once a week.... also avoid putting conditioner close to the scalp

I have really dry hair i want to make it look better and if possible straighter naturally?

I have the same problem. Your main purpose should be to make your hair healthier. Try shampoos like Redken- Smooth down. They have amazing products. Use the deep conditioner to help nourish your hair. They have another creme called the detangler creme. Its super good. Also apply product ALWAYS if you blowdry etc. They have this serum called HEAT GLIDE. It protects the hair from the heat which leads to dry hair. If you have time and funds- try deep conditioning treatments at a salon- once a month.

Good luck!

I have really dry hair i want to make it look better and if possible straighter naturally?

perhaps you should get it short-I did that at about under the ear length and it has grown back to a nice length in a very good condition.

stop using hair dies and products and get a good shampoo and conditioner

if not and you want straight hair were a wig its alot cheaper and te hair condition won't change

I have really dry hair i want to make it look better and if possible straighter naturally?

i think u should try garnier fructis which will help u out naturally

I have really dry hair i want to make it look better and if possible straighter naturally?

mine's dry too%26amp;from experience no shampoo'll ever make ur hair look good..not alone at least.try using soft water i mean like bottled water not tab water to wash your hair%26amp;u'll see good results from the 1st time..also use hair serum not oils or creams..good luck
