Try Neutrogena's mask, that may help. Or Herbal Essenses "hello hydration". Leave on these items for at least ten minutes

Slap some mayo(not Miracle Whip) on with a cap. For more volume, use flat beer (eww), for more shine and product removal, use a vinegar and water rinse. You could use egg whites too but don't rinse with warm water or you'll have a head full of breakfast. When my hair is ULTRA dry, I buy a packet of conditioner called Hayashi 911 from the beauty supply. It's about $4 for the pkt. and I get 3 conditionings out of it. Just did it last week, my hair is silky soft. That stuff is a miracle cure. I also know that Nexus has a conditioner called Humectress that many hairdressers swear by as Nexus only good product. Not expensive either.
Dry dry hair?
I read somewhere to use vegitable oil and I tried it but it just made my hair REALLY greasy. So definatly dont use that. But if you go to a hair salon there should be treatments there for under $10. You could also try not washing it everyday and not using heat on your hair (blow dryers, flat irons, ect.)
Dry dry hair?
Usually hair that is really dry/dry has the basis in a medical condition or medication. E.g., thyroid disorder, diabetes, etc.
Course hair in which the cuticles stand-up appears dry.
But, an excellent treatment for both is: warm mayonnaise in a pan, and after it liquifies, put it on your hair and wrap it in plastic. Keep it on for as long as you like (15-20 minutes) and wash it out. It will leave your hair soft.
If you can find someone to help you -- use a flat-iron on the hair while the solution is on it. Then wash out.

Neutragena's Triple Moisture shampoo, conditioner and deep recovery hair mask. Use the mask at least three times a week, leaving it on for more than 5 minutes while in the shower instead of the conditioner. Use the conditioner on all the other times you aren't using the mask. It has really helped my dry hair (it's curly, so I can't brush it to get the natural oils down the shaft). Good luck!
