Whats the best hair treatmant for very dry hair?

Warm up some Olive oil in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Then put it all over your hair concentrating on the ends. Then wrap in a warm towel for about 10 minutes. Then wash it all off with a gentle shampoo. Do this once a week. Good luck

Whats the best hair treatmant for very dry hair?

i have the same problem, and my cousin told me to do this:

put on a TON of conditioner and slab it on your hair. put a shower cap on and leave it on for the whole day. (do this on a day you arent going anywhere lol) then, take it off and put on a pinch of shampoo. dont rinse out all the conditioner. then leave the extra conditioner on still, and the next day, wash it all out with more shampoo.

then blowdry it and brush IT WHILE IT IS WET.

whalaa!

it worked for me really well!

Sephora also has a good return policy retrun with recipit and all packing. Make sure to know of all details if you think you might want to retrun anything.

And then you have the basic panteen line if you want to go cheaper. It works also. It all depends on what you want to do. You can get that at the grocery store or drugstore. Just pick the one that is the most moisturizing and use conditioner always every day if you have dry hair.

I have dry hair what should I use?

Here is a home remedy regimen for dry hair:

Use mayonnaise: Use a dollop of mayonnaise on the palm of the hand and massage it to the head and leave it on for five minutes before having the bath. The recommended time for the mayonnaise treatment is an hour.

Spray the beer: If you do not get any relief from using the mayonnaise, you can use beer as a good setting lotion that gives your hair the crisp, healthy and shiny look. You can pour some beer into an empty pump bottle and spray on the hair after shampooing and towel dry. Then you can style or blow-dry the hair.

Shampoo minimally: choose a shampoo for dry, damaged hair.

Condition your hair: Conditioner glues cuticles back to the shaft and lubricates them. It also prevents static electricity, thus preventing its frizzy appearance.

Cut off the split ends: Every six weeks or so

With dry, curly&rough hair & fed up of using diff conditioners i've done off my hair.can

i am really fed up of my dry curly and rough hairand also terrible hair fall.i used many shampoos and conditioners but in vain.finally i have done off my hair completely and now i am getting new hair.how can i get smooth good hair which is soft ,healthy and strong?please suggest some means for me to get good glowing long healthy black hair?i have really great passion for good hair.i dream for good hair in fact.please help me out with good advice.thank you

With dry,curly%26amp;rough hair %26amp; fed up of using diff conditioners i've done off my hair.can i get smooth good hair

The key to good hair is nutrition. Take a multivitamin and Vitamin E capsule daily. Eat a decent amount of protein and gelatin for strong hair, and cook with canola oil for shiny hair.

I have dry, frizzy hair and use Garnier Fructis Sleek %26amp; Shine shampoo and conditioner. It really helps. I also use the Sleek %26amp; Shine Fortifying Deep Conditioner once a week. You should look for a deep conditioner at either a drug store or a beauty supply store. I'm sure the sales assistant can help.

I also suggest using either shea butter, olive oil, or coconut oil on your hair every week. Leave one of those on overnight, and wash it out in the morning. Coconut oil is great stuff -- it actually stengthens your hair and adds much needed moisture. You can find coconut oil in a natural food store or online.

I wouldn't suggest blow drying your hair, which may dry it out. And staightening your hair with a hot iron, even an expensive ceramic one, will damage your hair. You hair might look silky when you straighten it, but it will be damaged.

I hope I've been a help. Good luck!

With dry,curly%26amp;rough hair %26amp; fed up of using diff conditioners i've done off my hair.can i get smooth good hair

CUT IT. Then use ONLY salon shampoo/conditioner. I recommend Redken AllSoft.

With dry,curly%26amp;rough hair %26amp; fed up of using diff conditioners i've done off my hair.can i get smooth good hair

Buy a flat iron. They are 30 bucks at wal-mart and i am telling you when you straighten your hair with that your hair feels so smooth and silky just add a bit of frizz ease before straightning your hair.

please help.x

How to make my hair not dry and frizzy after washing it?

Are you using John Frieda's Frizz Ease Thermal Serum? I love that stuff! And it lasts all day.

Another solution, and I recommend this so much I should get it for free, is Ojon Restorative Hair treatment. It comes in a little brown jar and is like a paste that turns to oil when rubbed between your palms. I leave it in for an hour or more and then shampoo and condition. It's like having a new head of hair! Even my hubby noticed a difference. He thought I got a new hair style! My hair is soft, silky, shiny and no frizz. One application lasts me about 3 months so a small jar lasts a good long time. This is really amazing stuff and I highly recommend it for you or anyone with dry frizzy hair. Go to www.ojon.com and read all about it. You can order it there too as well as sephora.com. Sephora has a small, less expensive jar. It wil change your hair forever!

How to make my hair not dry and frizzy after washing it?

Switch to a salon quality shampoo specifically for frizzy hair. Redkin and Biolage both make good ones. I would suggest using a deep conditioning mask at least once a week as well. Frizzies are an indicator that your hair needs moisture. Try reducing shampoos to only a couple times a week and the other times you shower just do a cream rinse with your conditioner. Also touch your hair as little as possible, this will also cause your hair to frizz. Try using a cream or gel styling product as well. John Frieda also makes a volume reducing gel that works pretty good.

results may vary from person to person

I have dry hair?what should i do?

use a good make conditioner ,like panteve

I have dry hair?what should i do?

Use a shampoo and conditioner that is moisturizing (I like TRESemm鑼?Vitamin E Moisture Rich). Use an olive oil hair wrap once a week. Don't use a blow dryer. Wash your hair every other day.

I have dry hair?what should i do?

Put Henna + egg + coffe and mix it well. Put it in ur hair 4 atleast 2 hrs and then wash it with only water nothing else. When they dry apply any oil then wash ur hair the next day with shampoo. U'll feel the difference.

P.S. U can also use almond or olive oil.

I have dry hair?what should i do?

use head and shoulder green shampoo. for 6 weeks.

I have dry hair?what should i do?

hair mask is fab, don't wash your hair too often or you'll make the problem worse. my mate uses Body Shop coconut stuff (in a shoe cleaner style tin) she thinks is fab, though you might find it too greasy.

I have dry hair?what should i do?

but some damn grease in it

For really dry hair?

what should i use? i need something really strong. a leave in conditioner would be best

For really dry hair?

Whenever my hair got really dry, I'd let my hair sit in Conditioner over night. I've tried all sorts of things, so here's the skinny...

Conditioner included in "at Home" hair dying kits - $5-10

Bedhead "Moisture Maniac" - $10-15

Shiseido Fino Conditioner - $15-20

They all work well, but if you're willing to put the money out and can find it, I LOVE Shiseido Fino (I bought the Shampoo/Conditioner set which was $57 - Imported from Japan). It always made my hair feel so healthy and lasted months because you only need to use a little.

But if you're on a budget, the little tube of conditioner included in the dye kits work well!

Saturate your hair in conditioner, put on a showercap, and let it sit for a few hours, or even overnight. Another tip is to blow dry your hair to get it warm before you rinse it out.

I'm not sure if any of this is "a bad idea" according to hair stylists, but my hairstylist says I have really healthy hair so I must be doing something right considering all the times I've bleached out my hair from Black to blonde... It's worth a try, why can it hurt?

For really dry hair?

I know there are special conditioners from Garnier Fructis for dry hair, and they have leave-in conditioners. And Aussie might have something.

For really dry hair?

try pureology's hydrate treatment. its a mask that you use once a week instead of conditioner and it leaves your hair so silky.

(its $50, but trust me your hair will never be more hydrated!)

you can get it at any professional salon or quality beauty supply. stay away from drug store treatments, they all suck.

For really dry hair?

uh i would use herbal essenses (the happily hydrated one) and then i would use garnier fructis leave in conditioner

For really dry hair?

Alot of shampoos and conditionors that they sell at regular stores contain detergents, that dry out your hair. Aussie doesnt... but its one of the few that doesnt. BedHead products are slightly more expensive, but they wont dry your hair out. You can find them at salons, and the hair place inside my Super Walmart sells them. You dont have to use as much to get the job done, so they last longer making them worth the few extra bucks. http://tigihaircare.us/tigi/bedhead/gall...

Here is the site where you can see a list of their products. Good luck!

For really dry hair?

i use cocoa butter lotion after shampooing, it really makes a difference

For really dry hair?

Try Infusium. It works really great for dry hair.

If you dye your hair alot, leave your hair alone and wait to dye it atleast 3 years later or so. Hair dye has terrible chemicals that kill dry/damage your hair.

Brush your hair before shampooing and conditioner so your hair won't be tangeled and managable.

Comb your hair about 20 times each side so your natural oils can fall into the rest of your hair for natural shine

Don't wash your hair everyday try 3 times a week, Washing hair everyday strips the natural oils of your hair into duller dry hair.

Discontinue to heat style your hair or your hair will end up more dry/damaged, wait till it's completely healthy and maybe heat style once a week.

Avoid brushing hair while wet, gently use a wide tooth comb, hair is very vulnerable while wet and can break off easily.

Don't put your hair into pigtails, buns or ponytails while wet, that causes split ends, breakage and damage.

Deep condition twice a week to bring back moisture to your hair.

Trim your hair tips every 4-6 weeks to promote healthy hair grow and prevent split ends from happening.

While shampooing massage your scalp with your fingertips slowly, not with your nails, nails damage the scalp and nails tend to be dirty. it's not necessary to shampoo the ends, then rinse with warm water to open the hair cuticles.

While conditioner leave on for about 2-4 minutes so you can get great results then comb hair with wide tooth comb then rinse with very cold water to help seal the hair cuticles.

If you use gel/hairspray/moose stop using them. They damage and dry up your hair because of the alchohol it contains.

If you use heat appliaces (blowdryers, curling irons, hair straightener) use a heat protecter spray so it'll protect your hair from heat.

If hair is really dry, go to the salon to get a deep treatment on your hair.

Once a month use a special deep conditioning treatment like olive oil, vitamin e oil, mayonaisse, eggs, hot oil treatment, castor oil, coconut oil almond oil or avocado.

Take multivimains, vitamin e, follic acid or prenatal vitamins to promote healthy hair growth.

Drink lots of water for shinier/healthier hair and eat lots of protein and healthy food like meat, milk, cheese, peanut butter, eggs pasta, cooked beans and raw vegetables.

If your in the sun alot buy a cap or a hoodie to protect your hair from the sun, heat damages and drys out your hair.

Buy a leave-in-conditioner/leave-in conditioner/creme to moisturize your hair all day long and don't rinse.

After your out of the shower set your blowdryer on cool setting and blowdryer your hair for 2 minutes, this will help seal the hair cuticles for a smooth shiny surface.

While combing hair, comb it gentle to avoid breakage.

Help with dry hair?

I used to have a hairdresser who used to recommend putting olive oil on your hair and sleeping in a shower cap. She said to shampoo it the next day and it would be much healthier.

Help with dry hair?

trim it or use a deep conditioner that you can get at a hair salon. if your going to get a deep conditioner getit from a profess. hair salon because they are almost garaunteed to work. if you get them at a drug store then its not as promised. yes, theres some price difference but it will prob. be worth it. good luck.

Help with dry hair?

Use extra virgin olive oil as a conditioner and as a hot oil treatment. And it is okay to use mayo but they make mayonaise for your hair you will find it in the section with the black hair products

Get your hair trimmed regularly dead ends are gonna make your hair look and feel dry.

Try not to heat style

Use shea butter oil sheen when you style in the mornings. yes even if youre white! just dont use a lot.

There is a whole line of styling products that have olive oil in them they are also found in the black hair section.

Help with dry hair?

try protein or soy enriched products...they don't leave your hair feeling greasy like oils will and they infuse themselves into the hair shaft.

Help with dry hair?

I do a moisture treatment twice a month. I mix 1/4 Cup light conditioner (like white rain or suave naturals) with 1 tbsp honey and 1 tbsp aloe vera gel. I heat it in the microwave for 10 seconds and apply to my clean washed damp hair. I get my hair totally saturated and then comb through. I put a plastic bag over this and leave on for at least an hour. Then you rinse it out.

my hair is so shiny and soft now I get tonnes of complients.

Alos you can aplly one drop of olive oil to the ends of your dry hair. One drop should be enough. Work it through your hair and then comb. Also stop using heated appliances.

Help with dry hair?

"Kerphix" by "Nexxus". If your hair is long use a tablespoon if short use a teaspoon of the product. Distribute the product evenly through your hair and place a plastic bag over your hair. Heat a dampened old towel in the microwave and turban it around your head. Let cool and rinse with cool water. Repeat weekly.

I've been a licensed cosmetologist for thirty years.

Hope this helps and good luck.

I have staticy, dull and semi-dry hair. What products are the best to achieve soft, shiny hair?

Garnier Fructis Sleek %26amp; Shine Anti Frizz Serum is awesome. Use a little at a time though.

I have staticy, dull and semi-dry hair. What products are the best to achieve soft, shiny hair?

redkin all soft.....i LOVE it

and paul mitchell hair serum...helps with my frizz really well

I have staticy, dull and semi-dry hair. What products are the best to achieve soft, shiny hair?

Try Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Fortifying Deep Conditioner 3 Minute Mask! I recommend it to anybody who suffers from dry or frizzy hair. It leaves your hair smooth and shiny (in a non-oily kind of way). I recently also recommended this to a neighbor whose hair was dry from a recent color job. She tried it and raved as well. I use it too and get loads of compliments. You only have to apply this once a week at least and its cheap and you can find it anywhere. I have linked to the product at walgreens.com so you can see what it looks like but you can find it for about a dollar or more cheaper at Wal-Mart. Good luck!

What type of hair brush is good for weak, dry hair?

Definitely a soft bristle brush, or boar brush is good!

(especially for blow-drying)

My hair is very fine and these are the types of brushes I tend to use. Anything metal or ceramic will cause more damage.

Another tip would be to never comb wet hair, hair is extremely prone to breakage when it's wet. If you must comb wet hair, the safest way is to use a wide tooth comb.

The link below lists others kinds of brushes.

Hope that helps. ;)

What type of hair brush is good for weak, dry hair?

something soft, not to hard that puts to much strain on hair

What type of hair brush is good for weak, dry hair?

I just use those big combs. They seem to work nice. Plus I have curly hair

What causes dry hair?

(m)

Considerations

Dry hair is hair that does not have enough moisture and oil to maintain its normal sheen and texture.

Dry hair may result from too much washing, harsh detergents, a dry environment, inadequate diet, or underlying conditions, such as those due to malnutrition. (For example, kwashiorkor)

Dry, brittle hair may be a symptom of metabolic diseases such as hypothyroidism and Menkes kinky hair syndrome.

Common Causes

Excessive washing, harsh detergents or alcohols, excessive blow-drying

Environmental dryness

Anorexia nervosa

Malnutrition

Hypothyroidism

Hypoparathyroidism

Home Care

Shampoo less frequently -- perhaps only once or twice a week

Add conditioners

Avoid blow drying and harsh styling products

What causes dry hair?

poor diet, get vitamins

What causes dry hair?

improve ur diet ! get more sun.. literally !! and stress less bout the world .........and yeah oil ur hair as much as u can.. whenever u can !!!!

What causes dry hair?

Can we use hair conditioner on dry hair or does it always has to be used after shampooing?

I rarely shampoo my hair, but use conditioner every time I shower. So no, it doesn't have to be used after shampoo. Different conditioners do different things, though, so be sure to get one that does what you're looking for. The one I use daily is really light and, if scrubbed around, lathers a bit and actually cleans my hair (I don't use a lot of styling products, so there's no buildup). More intensive conditioners will probably leave your hair a bit greasy (esp if you apply them to the roots, not just the ends) if your hair isn't clean to begin with.

Can we use hair conditioner on dry hair or does it always has to be used after shampooing?

I have never tried that before... but since you can use conditioning treatment stuff without shampoo I don't see why not...just don't do it every day....

Can we use hair conditioner on dry hair or does it always has to be used after shampooing?

If you have frizz or some damage going on, there are lots of leave-in conditioners that are wonderful. Don't know about regular conditioner.

Can we use hair conditioner on dry hair or does it always has to be used after shampooing?

you should always use conditioner after shampooing especially if your hair is dry. Helps with moister. it also helps with combing and brushing. How do you comb or brush after just shampooing?????

Can we use hair conditioner on dry hair or does it always has to be used after shampooing?

the leave-in conditioner is for dry hair, the orders has to be used after shampoo

Can we use hair conditioner on dry hair or does it always has to be used after shampooing?

You could, it will probably leave you looking a little greasy if you don't rinse it out though. Spray on/leave in conditioner is better. It's best if your hair is wet, or damp at least, but it's ok on dry hair to freshen it up and make it soft.

In the shower I only wash my hair with shampoo every other day, but I often just rinse it out and condition it on alternate days.鈾モ櫏

Can we use hair conditioner on dry hair or does it always has to be used after shampooing?

U CAN PURCHASE THE LEAVE IN CONDITIONER ITS REALLLLLLLLLLLLY NICE TRY IT BY REDKEN OR BIOLAGE

Can we use hair conditioner on dry hair or does it always has to be used after shampooing?

Yes. Try Queen Helene's CHOLESTEROL , a hair conditioner in a plastic jar. It is great for bleached out dry hair, and a little bit

will bring that damaged blonde back to life when its dead.

Use a conditioner on dry hair when its ultra dry, but only for damaged or extremely dry hair. Just a little

Also VO5 These are classic hair care prodects

Can we use hair conditioner on dry hair or does it always has to be used after shampooing?

if dont have alot of bulid up in your hair, such as gel , hairspray. either way i find it leaves film on the hair and it makes the hair heavy wound hold styles, I suggest , a hair lotion, or cream for dry hair such as olive , carrot creams or lotion much better, it add shine and moisture to the hair

Can we use hair conditioner on dry hair or does it always has to be used after shampooing?

there is conditioners out there that are like spray on leave in conditioners that you can use anytime... it also helps detangle your hair...

I have really thick dry hair and want to style it but hair gel just dont seem to hold it any suggest

My hair is kind of like that too. It depends how you want to style it... much easier if you keep it very short. Try spiking glue, just use a little, or a lot if you want to spike it up. I used to use this wax hair product which worked pretty well... now I just use regular hair gel -- it works, I just use a lot and put it on when the hair is still a little wet

I have really thick dry hair and want to style it but hair gel just dont seem to hold it any suggestions?

hair wax?

I have really thick dry hair and want to style it but hair gel just dont seem to hold it any suggestions?

Britney Spears it.

I have really thick dry hair and want to style it but hair gel just dont seem to hold it any suggestions?

I do also.I would say that when you get it cut fairly short you should be able to do something with it at that point.Talk to your stylist and see what he/she suggests.

I have really thick dry hair and want to style it but hair gel just dont seem to hold it any suggestions?

try to use hair wax or blow dry it if you can go it local hair style hair dressers and ask them

I have really thick dry hair and want to style it but hair gel just dont seem to hold it any suggestions?

Well if hair gel doesn't work maybe you could (if your old enough)go ask a hair Solon or my aunt.Mail to me to know what my aunts email is or to ask me if I have more ideas.dogydog101@yahoo.com My name is Emilie Maggs!

I have really thick dry hair and want to style it but hair gel just dont seem to hold it any suggestions?

A haircut.

I have really thick dry hair and want to style it but hair gel just dont seem to hold it any suggestions?

put some elmers washable white glue in your gel

I have really thick dry hair and want to style it but hair gel just dont seem to hold it any suggestions?

Buy some of this, i guarantee it wont move, V05 rework fibre putty! It's good stuff!!!!1

I have really thick dry hair and want to style it but hair gel just dont seem to hold it any suggestions?

My stylist sometimes thins my hair out with a special pair of shears. They can all do that. If you get it done, see if they recommend a shampoo and conditioner that will moisturize your hair (may be best to see a salon that also sells hair products). My stylist suggested that I use shampoo for color-treated hair since they are very moisturizing (though I don't have colored hair but that's ok).

I have really thick dry hair and want to style it but hair gel just dont seem to hold it any suggestions?

A set works best with a really good setting lotion like any that Nexxus has. Then when it wears off use a flat iron. Thats how I style my hair and my hair is very much like yours.

I have really thick dry hair and want to style it but hair gel just dont seem to hold it any suggestions?

Put loads of conditioner on it, blow dry it and it should soften enough to style. Failing that, a good hairdresser should be able to tame it for you

I have really thick dry hair and want to style it but hair gel just dont seem to hold it any suggestions?

Its all in the cut and products you use. I had the same problem but a few weeks ago I went to a new salon because I wanted a change. They gave me a new cut that i love , its thinned out and I don't have to use gel anymore . I use just a little mouse and because it is thinner I can dry it on a lower heat setting and rather then use a brush while drying , I use my fingers to help lift and shape . It is so much healthier looking and falls right into place..As I said, its in the Cut and the products. Don't choose your Salon because you think you may save a few dollars or that you're in the habit of going there. Look for a Salon that is up-to-date with the new techniques and products! hope this helps you! If you arent sure which one is a good one, ask around to people you know or see! but the important thing to do is to voice to your beautician what your problems and concerns are!! Good luck ! :)

I have really thick dry hair and want to style it but hair gel just dont seem to hold it any suggestions?

try hair spray, and dont do heavy hairstyles, go for lighter ones instead hint(i dont mean the colour)

I have really thick dry hair and want to style it but hair gel just dont seem to hold it any suggestions?

A good cut will help with the natural style but try using FUDGE products. They are excellent.

I have really thick dry hair and want to style it but hair gel just dont seem to hold it any suggestions?

Strong wax, followed by a coat of hairspray, or you can get 'Hair Glue', just type into a seach engine to find some :-)

I have always had dry hair, I dye it sometimes but not to often. How can I have smooth hair?

Avoid bleaching or lightening your hair, that dries and damages it really bad.

When you wash your hair and put in conditioner leave it in for as long as possible (10 minutes or more) so it has time to soak into your hair before you rinse.

There are leave in conditioners but some can make the problem worse. Mayonaise and cholesterol conditioners supposedly help but they smell awful and can make your hair smell like a sweaty armpit or an old gym sock. But it might be worth it to endure once in awhile (as long as you don't have any plans that day.

The conditioners that come with color treatments are great, you can buy tubes of them at beauty supply shops to use once in awhile. Use them same way as above, leave it in 10 minutes before rinsing so it has time to soak in a little.

Just a dry hair tip: When you dry your hair, squeeze and pat it dry, don't ruffle it dry because it can contribute to breaking, split ends and frizz.

I have always had dry hair, I dye it sometimes but not to often. How can I have smooth hair?

Mayonaisse works wonders... leave it on for as long as you can stand the smell. Then rinse it off,

I have always had dry hair, I dye it sometimes but not to often. How can I have smooth hair?

I have always had dry hair, I dye it sometimes but not to often. How can I have smooth hair?

try avacado but if you want to style your hair use a frizz control product. there are tons out there. im not sure what works the best at the drug stores. it be better when you get your hair done too ask them what product is best for your hair type. I have frizzy hair i dont wash it everyday and i use dove frizzy stuff it works. i'd recomened it.

I have always had dry hair, I dye it sometimes but not to often. How can I have smooth hair?

It might have something to do with the shampoo you are using. Most shampoos have preservatives that can do more harm than good for your head and hair. Try looking for a shampoo that has no preservatives, I use Sense products.

I have always had dry hair, I dye it sometimes but not to often. How can I have smooth hair?

try using suave anti frizz smoothing gel or proffesionals sleek smoothing gel

I have always had dry hair, I dye it sometimes but not to often. How can I have smooth hair?

try John freida's hair products like the deep conditioner it works great on my hair. Its one you can use everyday. Its awesome. You can get it at Walmart or drug stores right with the shampoos and conditioners.

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

I use Pantene Frizz Control shampoo and conditioner. I think I may need a more moisturizing conditioner, any reccomendations?

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

I use a product call Hayashi 911 Emergency Pack. It is kind of expensive, but so well worth the cost. I add some of the 911 in a cup along with some olive oil. Then I apply it to wet hair (do this at night before bedtime). Then I will take a towel, get it wet, wring it out to where it is jut damp and put it in the microwave for about 3 minutes. You will have to experiment with your microwave at home because they are all different. Once the towel is steaming hot, I wrap it on my head and leave it on my head until it cools down. I do this about 3 or 4 times. Then, I sleep in the conditioner and olive oil. In the morning, just shampoo your hair as you normally would. Do this treatment about once a week.

Also, everyday, after you shampoo your hair and towel dry it, you may want to spray some Infusiom leave-in conditioner on your hair. That has really helped my hair too!!

One last thing that I have sworn by and I know other women have sworn by it too. Take pre-natal vitamins. It will not only help the appearance of your hair, it will also speed it the growth process.

Good luck!

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

Paul Brown makes AWESOME shampoo and conditioner. I buy it at my salon - it is more expensive, but worth it. Good luck!

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

Hot oil treatments for 1 week - available at any pharmacy

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

Smash up an avacado or two ( without the pit of course ) and put that on your wet hair with a plastc shower cap covering it for at least an hour If you have an old fashioned dryer or can point the blow dryer at it, add some heat before you rinse it out

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

try Infusium leave in conditioner.

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

have you tried a hot oil treatment? it's supposed to help alot!

btw pantene is terrible for your hair. it builds up and gets icky. if you need frizz control, i've had great results with John Frieda. It's a salon product that's sold at walmart. gotta love it!

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

leave in conditioner works very very well...

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

use pantene moisturizing shampoo and pantene conditioner for dry hair. for frizz control, buy a hair product like biosilk serum and apply it to your damp hair. let it air dry and straighten with a revlon hair straightner. WORKS FOR ME!

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

I recommend this stuff call super Skinny Serum. THis stuff works really good. My girlfriend goes to paul mitchel, so i get to use the stuff she brings home, and this stuff is the best for making your hair silky smooth.

THE TRUE HAIR DRESSER

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

burt's bees hair treatment. it comes in a tube kinda like toothpaste, it's super thick, but works great.

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

definitely a moisturizing condition or try one of those leave in conditions. I know Paul Mitchell has on as I use it on my daughters hair.

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

Mix half olive oil and half honey, warm it up in the microwave (NOT HOT!) And massage it in your hair until your hair is saturated with the mixture. Wrap your head up in a towel or something and leave it on for as long as you feel like it. I usually leave it on for like an hour.

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

Olive oil once or twice a week for a half hour then rinse. ALSO I LOVE LOVE LOVE Bed Heads "After Party", I use it in the morning and at night. It smells great and it is not oily at all!

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

An "over the counter" shampoo and cond. will only coat the hair w/ wax. temp. making it feel better but not healing at all. Try professional products like Biolage, or Halo.

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

Your hair is probably damaged by heat, from a flat iron, or curling iron or something. You should continue using the same shampoo you are using... but when you put in the conditioner, leave it in for about 5 minutes. Then when you rinse it out, it will feel softer. Try a deep conditioner... Also, If you have the money, a professional shampoo and conditioner with moisture added would help... such as Paul Mitchell... They are very good.

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

first off do not buy regular shampoo. Switch to natural hair shampoos such as organic. You can find them in most stores.

Secondly, you need to eat more oil in your diet. Try taking flaxseed oil or incorporate coconut oil into your diet.

Speaking of oils, you should oil your hair weekly with olive or coconut oil.

Do not blow dry, straighten, etc your hair

and lastly, try to minimize your sugar intake.

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

do a mayonaise treatment take 1/2 -3/4 cups of mayo rub through your hair take a wet hot towel and wrap it around your head wait 30 minutes then wash your hair with a mild shampoo. good luck it works

I have VERY dry hair, what can I use to make it soft and silky?

here are some ideas

here are some home remedies which are very good for dry hair. i had dry hair myself but when i tried these tips it was great! they've never been dry again!

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Beat up on an Egg: Separate the white of an egg from the yolk, and whip the white thoroughly. Then add 1 tablespoon of water to the yolk and blend until the mixture is creamy. Next, mix the white and yolk together. Wet your hair with warm water, remove the excess moisture, and apply the egg mixture to your scalp with your fingertips. Massage gently until the froth is worked into your scalp, and then rinse the hair with cool water. Keep applying the mixture until it is used up. Continue to rinse until all of the egg is washed away

Go for the Mayo: Heat up one half cup of mayonnaise until it becomes an oily, white goo and apply to dry, unwashed hair. Cover your hair with a plastic bag and leave on for at least 15 minutes. Then, rinse and shampoo thoroughly.

Mix up a Tropical Treat: Mash one over-ripe banana (the blacker, the better) with a mushy, rotten avocado. Massage this exotic puree into your hair and leave on for at least 15 minutes before washing out鈥n the kitchen sink!).

Grab a Cold One. Beer can give your dry hair a healthy sheen. Before you blow-dry or style, use a pump bottle to spray brew onto your hair. The beer will leave your hair shiny and sleek and its odor will disappear quickly.

In addition to using these home remedies regularly to avoid dry hair, try the following preventative measures:

Avoid overshampooing. Shampooing can wash away the hair's protective oils, so try washing less often and use a mild shampoo labeled "for dry or damaged hair."

Condition regularly. Conditioners protect the hair鈥檚 cuticle layer from splitting from the shaft. Pick a conditioner that works well for your hair and use it after every shampoo.

Wear a hat. Too much exposure to wind and sun can leave hair thirsty.

Trim off split ends. The biggest problem caused by dry hair is split ends. Schedule a trim every six to eight weeks to keep fraying ends under control.

Ease up on the heat. Heat (in the form of blow dryers, as well as straightening and curling irons) can quickly dry out hair. Let your hair air dry occasionally. Try using plastic cylinder rollers to straighten hair by wrapping slightly moist hair under and around rollers for about 10 minutes. For curling, try using sponge rollers overnight or sleeping with moist braids.

Don't swim without a cap. Use a rubber cap to protect your hair from the damaging effects of chlorine. If you must forgo a cap, rub a spoonful of olive oil into your hair before diving in.

also heres a very good website which could help you out with all hair problems!

http://www.pioneerthinking.com/hair.html

Good luck!!:)

Another thing is also putting in lotion in your hair after you have gotten out of the shower and you can also put in lotion in hair after you have dried it.

Just rub some lotion on your finger tips and run it through your hair evenly.

Also, something that will help your hair is to take COLDshowers. What most people dont know is that if you take hot showers, the heat gets rid of the oils and other things that your hair needs to be kept healty and shiney.

Hope this helps!

If this doesnt help just contact me and i can give you more tips for your dry hair!

Smash an avocado and mix with jojoba and peppermint oils. Make sure its really smooth you may want to put it in a food processor with a little water. Then apply some to your scalp and the rest on your hair. Massage for a minute or so then put on a plastic cap. Leave for 15 to 30 minutes. The avocado and jojoba oils will moisterize and the peppermint will stimulate your scalp to loosen any dead skin and open your pores. It will feel great. Your hair will grow better and won't be dry. :)

Neutrogena has a line called Triple Moisture. This is what I found at their website:

Neutrogena Triple Moisture庐 Cream Lather Shampoo gently dissolves away impurities as it deeply moisturizes every hair strand.

This revolutionary cream hair cleanser revives even extra dry or over-processed hair, making it feel soft and smooth all day after a single use. Three naturally derived extracts penetrate to defy dryness on all three dimensions of the hair strand. Olive penetrates to the center, Meadowfoam Seed helps moisturize the middle and Sweet Almond wraps the surface. Its rich, abundant lather cleanses hair gently, taming fly-aways and frizz.

Neutrogena Triple Moisture庐 provides specialized care for extra dry hair.

I've tried a sample of it, and it works great. It left my hair feeling very soft and smooth.

Try not washing your hair every day. Shampoo washes away excess natural oils, but it sounds like you don't have very much so you don't need to wash it as frequently.

Like what directions? Tell me everything you can!

How do you dry hair?

I have medium-short hair, and I dry it with a super-absorbent towel first; then I dry it "upside down" for about about a minute with the blow dryer, concentrating on the roots, to get fullness. I get my hair cut every six weeks, and I never see any evidence of damage. Then I use styling wax on my fingertips to shape and style it, a little spray, and I'm good to go. Takes me five minutes, tops.

Yes it is okay. When you blowdry hair that is coloring it opens the hair cuticle and gives that color a chance to really get into the hair follicle. Be careful though some haircolors melt and drip everywhere if they get to hott.

Whats good for dry hair?

1) Get a good low pH shampoo. High pH shampoos lift the cuticle allowing moisture to evaporate. Here are a few great shampoos for dry hair:

Sunset Hair Elements (Moisturizing) Shampoo (Best Pick)

Matrix Biolage Hydrating Shampoo

Paul Mitchell Moisture and Shine (Creatives)

Redken Moisturizing Shampoo

2) Replace lipids. Your scalp produces sebum. This is the hairs' natural source of lipids or essential fatty acids (EFA's.) If your hair grows past your neck line; The hair makes no or little contact with the body. If you use heat (irons, rollers, blow drying), your hair will get depleted of EFA's.

Sunset Hair Elements (Vanilla Bean) Treatment

Paul Mitchell Hair Repair

3) Acidify. Acidifiers lock the lipids and moisture in the cortex. They are probably the single most important step to good hair. They maintain good hair.

Sunset Hair Elements Hair Re-Balancer

Nexxus Ensure

Redken Extreme

Paul Mitchell "The Rinse"

4) Other -

1/2 teaspoon of safflower oil taken orally a day ( you may build up to 1-2 tablespoons)

or

Omega-3 supplements.

oh man my hair was so fryd from the sun and chlorine and dye.. and i didnt wanna spend big bucks on a deep conditioning treatment at the salon.. just go to CVS or a drug store and get a big tub of just a cheap leave in hair treatment and put it on and let it sit for an hour and it will fix your hair... sometimes cheap really is better

Whats good for dry hair?

aussie, 3 minute miracle. you leave it in your hair for 3 minutes and then your hair turns out so soft! and you can try aussie moist too that works better, i think.

Whats good for dry hair?

all these answers are correct but try not to wash your hair everyday coz ur losing your natural oil that makes your hair very dry.

Whats good for dry hair?

Believe it or not, mayonnaise works wonders. My daughter has dry, curly hair that frizzes. Our hairdresser suggested this and it works great. It also helps that you probably already have some in the frig. :0) Apply thoroughly, wrap in a towel for 30 min, shampoo out. Naturally beautiful again!

I have thin, dry hair. i want it to look more healthy. what kind of shampoo/conditioner would be goo

omg, NOOOO Patene, ever! This is total ****, it is LOADED with alcohol and will make the problem worse over time. Get Joico K-Pak shampoo and conditioner, great for dry/damaged hair, and is good for colored hair too. Or, my second fav is Phyto Organics Theratin and Humectin shampoo/conditioner, great for thin, yet dry hair.

If you don't buy these, then please don't buy anything from a retail/drug store because they will just make your dry hair worse.

Also, if your hair is frizzy, or lacking shine, get the Silk Infusion oil from CHI, apply when your hair is wet, and blow dry. This will make your hair sillky smooth and really shiny, not to mention, over time it will make it healthier because it is loaded with vitamins.

I have thin, dry hair. i want it to look more healthy. what kind of shampoo/conditioner would be good it?

pantene shampoo 2 in 1

I have thin, dry hair. i want it to look more healthy. what kind of shampoo/conditioner would be good it?

I recommend Herbal Essence, because depending on what hair you have they have just the shampoo you need! Your hair gets healthier because it's totally natural shampoo and it's smells great! I have baby-fine hair and it worked wonders on me! Try it!

I have thin, dry hair. i want it to look more healthy. what kind of shampoo/conditioner would be good it?

u can use loreal professional shampoo for damaged hair along with its conditioner.but dont emulsify the conditioner on roots.as it is done with the shampoo.besides u can use olive oil massage or coconut oil massage.keep it all night on ur hair and wash it in the morning with the shampoo stated above.avoid blowing dry of ur hair.it adds to dryind of hair.dnt use comb on wet hair.comb them after thy have being towel dried thoroughly.

I have thin, dry hair. i want it to look more healthy. what kind of shampoo/conditioner would be good it?

you can use the special pantene or dove shampoo but if you go to the drugstore and but vitamins or iron, it should help a lot just take 1 vitamin a day with a big glass of water on a kinda full stomache (just enough for the glass of water)so ur kidneys dont get damaged. remember take ! or take what the pharmasist suggests!!!

For dry hair try to condition it for a few minutes in the shower.Dont rinse it right away. You can also use treatment for it I know Pantene has one.It comes in a small jar of some type.Eating a slice of avocados helps the hair become stronger and keep it looking healthy at the roots down to the tips.

I have very DRY hair.....also it doeant grow fast?

Try the Aussi 3 minute miracle.

I really like that.

I have very DRY hair.....also it doeant grow fast?

try the shampoo and conditioner called "Mane and tail" it is meant for horses but VERY widely used by people for their own hair. If it is not in the shampoo section look in the pet supplies. Mane and tail helps hair grow and keeps it strong.

Also for the dryness try Aussie 3 min. miracle (comes in single packs) or also VO5 hot oil treatment. If you wanna go really cheap. A home remedy that I have used (it sounds gross but works like a charm) Regular mayo! Work regular mayo into your hair like a conditioner and cover your hair and head with a shower cap or cling wrap. Warm for 2 min with a blow dryer and keep on for about 10 min. Then wash and shampoo hair as normal. Trust me IT WORKS!

Also make sure you are getting regular hair cuts. Getting rid of dry damaged ends keeps your hair healthy and will cause it to grow faster. So get at least 1 inch trimmed off every other month.

Good luck to you!

I have very DRY hair.....also it doeant grow fast?

Use shampoo and conditioner specifically formulated for dry/damaged hair. Don't feel like you have to use salon products, there are tons of really good drugstore brands out there. My hair is dry too, so I use the wash out type of conditioner AND a leave in conditioner. For those of us with really dry hair, it's pretty much impossible to overcondition it.

Be gentle with your hair, which means not heat styling it too much and using hair accessories that aren't rough.

Dry hair????help?

First, to really assess the problem, I need to know more about your hair. A lot of times clients complain that they have "dry hair" when in actuality they are lacking protein in their hair.

What type of climate do you live in? What color is your hair?

If you have blonde hair, most likely your hair is not DRY, it is over POROUS, meaning you are lacking protein which can give the feel that your hair is DRY. If this is the case, what you need is a product that helps to fill the gaps where the protein is missing. Try Fortifi by Eufora. It is a professional product found in select salons. Or you can look them up at Eufora.net

If you hair is ACTUALLY dry, try Moisture Solution shampoo and conditioner by Eufora. Their is no water in the shampoo and conditioner, yet it is based with pharmecutical grade aloe vera gel (75% in shampoo, 80% in conditioner).

Dry hair can be an indicator of poor health. Hot oil treatments from a salon is best to help with this, some over the counter hot oils are not as intensive as the ones in a a salon. Get a hair cut to remove dead ends and use conditioner after your hot oil treatment. Ask salon what they would suggest.
