How can I tame my frizzy, poofy, wavy, and dry hair?

how can i make my hair straighter, softer, and A LOT less poofy without having to spend hours on it?

i use sunsilk.. it kinda helps. the 24/7 doesn't at all.

I use Redken All Soft, works great .. also try using mouse for the frizziness.. you should go and get it cut (trimmed ,whatever)and ask the stylist to layer and thin it out (especially if its really thick) this will dramatically help the frizziness.. I have 2 kids(7 yrs and almost 2yrs) I don't have hours to spend on my hair..(usually about 10 minutes if Im lucky lol!!) I also have naturally curly thick hair..

do not blow dry it this makes the frizziness worse. wash it towel dry it, mousse and style it and let it dry naturally (this will also help with the damage.. use a leave in conditioner if youre hair is really dry.. Redken Makes one of those too(works really well but its kinda expensive) but you can use any of them really.. (aussie makes a decent one called hair insurance..) all aussie products in general work decently if you cant afford salon products (like redken) hope this helps

Honestly its easier to deal with it being curly and let it naturally do what it wants (to a degree, hence the mousse) then it is to spend 1-2 hours a day straightening it.. (trust me if you have thick hair you will be spending 1-2 hours a day straightening it..) if you email me I can show a pic of me with curly hair and show you what the products iuse do and also what layers look like in curly hair..

What I usually do with my clients is

1. Use a straightening lotion before you blow dry your hair

2. Use a paddle brush and get right into the roots so that the roots will be smoother.

3. Once hair is completely dry ( 30 minutes depending on the length of your hair and thickness) make sure it isnt damp. they reason why you have poof or frizziness is because the hair is still damp and not completely dry.

4. Use a professional thermal spray , spray on afteryou blow dry your hair and use your straigthener on it . The spray will protect your hair from the tremendous heat it gives off.

5. Finish off with the Hair Serum to tamp any unwanted strands.

I suggest using Joico Thermal spray , Joico straightening cream, and Kpak serum

you can use a serum it's this thick liquid you wash your hair like normal then towel try your hair then you put the serm on rub a small amount on your hands and run it through your hair then blow dry. It's great for blowing out your hair:)
