Nexxus
Aveda...anything organic. Although its a little pricey its worth it in the long run.
Stay away from products like Pantene or Herbal Essences because although they give you the feel that it is soft it is actually doing the opposite. It coats your hair with a thin layer of wax to make it feel smooth on the outside but it actually robs your hair from its natural oils. If you notice the first ingredient in the cheap conditioners is water which drys your hair out :)
Good luck, i straighten my hair often to. But just know you shouldnt wash your hair everyday. If you straighten one day it is good for 2-3 days :)

I straighten my hair too... I have used all of the "Neutrogena Triple Moisture" products, (shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner, shine serum, deep recovery hair mask).
They all leave your hair soft and silky nomatter what abuse you put it through. There are plenty of very expensive "professional" products out there, but for the money, this line has worked very well for me.

get some heat protector to spray on your hair before you straighten it. you are damaging it.

Try Pantene shampoo/conditioner all-in-one. Also, use the Pantene spray in/leave in conditioner after each time you shampoo. Despite the people here who give Pantene a bad rap, try the Pantene anyway. They haven't a clue what they're talking about. I'm a cosmetologist %26amp; many of my clients use Pantene products %26amp; their hair is in great shape with NO trace of wax buildup. Salon stylists will say anything to get their clients to buy the products they sell.

Always get a good salon product because off the self stuff just does not work as well. I would try some frecrick Fekkai. They sell it at Sephora.

I see you're in SoCal -- if you live anywhere near an Asian market, check in the haircare aisle for something called Resche. It's in a red plastic tub. You can't read the label, but it's a deep conditioner, and I love it!
Otherwise, I suggest Redken Smooth Down shampoo, conditioner, and deep conditioner. You can usually find it at CVS and other drugstores.

On days that I straighten my hair, afterwards I mix a little of my conditioner with some water in a spray bottle and spray it a little... never gets frizzy or dry during the day, and that seems to keep it from getting that oily look to it... stays straight longer too I find...

Try Oleo Relax by Kerastase Nutritive (L'Oreal). I use it for my hair after I towel dry and just before i style my hair. It leave it soft, but not oily. At the salon where I got it, it was $36. You won't find this in a grocery store.

Aloe Vera,is a good remedy for dry hair. It is obtained from the leaves of the Aloe Vera plant. Break the leaf and squeeze out the liquid inside, apply this liquid to your scalp, keep for about an hour and wash it off . Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.
