Help! I have awful dry hair. I have tried loads of shampoos and conditoners and none seem to hydrate my hair for longer than 12 hours. Can you sugesst and home remadies?

You may be washing your hair too often. Try a deep conditioner place a cap on for an hour, then rinse out. The heat from the cap penetrates through, also you should get a cut every 6-8 weeks.

First of all, you need a hair cut to trim off your dead ends. Even if you are trying to grow your hair, this will actually make it grow faster because the ends wont just break off. If you wash your hair everyday, dont do that because it strips your hair of natral oils and leaves it dry and frizzy. If you over-process your hair try not too- cut back on the dying, hair straightners and curlign irons. A good natural thing to use as a leave in conditiner is a bleneded avacado. Just leave it in your hair for 10 min and rinse.. be prepared to clean your shower though.

remedies i know not but you should try to stay out of the sun..try applying some hair oil. it might work. you should try not to wash your hair too often as it might dehydrate your hair. if all fail consult professional help...............

Maybe you're washing out the "shine" in your hair with all that washing and different shampoos. Skip a day or two on the washing.

Put conditioner in your hair and leave it in for an hour or so then wash it out. Also try a hot oil treatment.

wash your hair with any egg shampoo for example sunsilk yellow ....and then afterwards you wet your hair with a cup of milk and again wash it off with water....it removes the dryness of hair to a great extent...I tried it and believe me it works...

I dont know about any home remedies, but there is shampoo by Redken, its called smooth down shampoo and conditioner, and it works absolutely wonderful. my hair is dry and damaged really bad, and this stuff has repaired my hair and made it look and feel so healthy. Its about $12 for the conditioner and $10 for the shampoo, but you only need a little and its worth it.

I would not leave mayo overnight, but you may use mayo before shampooing leave it on for at least 1 1/2 or 2 hours, then shampoo and condition as usual. It will give you a beautiful and bouncy shine.
